Card processing has long ceased to be a core activity for banks, but in outsourcing they have to decide whether they are looking for cost savings or additional services.
The trend for financial institutions to outsource card processing has been gathering pace in the last few years and it shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. But in a world of ever-increasing cost pressures, crossborder expansion and competition for customers, it is no longer enough simply to outsource processing to one provider and keep it there.
