The Business Challenge
B&Q, a Kingfisher operating group, has a quarter of the UK home improvement market. To strengthen that position and focus on international expansion, Kingfisher wanted to make SAP Enterprise Resource Planning work for B&Q.
Our Approach
Xansa teamed with Kingfisher to provide a range of SAP programming, testing and project management skills and services. This kept B&Q resources free to focus on its strategic initiatives.
Making it Work
Xansa provided the overall SAP programme co-ordinator, as well as specialists to review the SAP programme. We brought in specialist testing managers, provided testing teams and trained B&Q and Kingfisher project managers.
We maintain and support existing applications day to day. Our teams are enhancing many of these systems to link up to the SAP system and underpin new business initiatives.
Delivering Results
B&Q's prominent position in the UK market is assured. A specialist Xansa testing manager worked with B&Q to re-launch its new website, diy.com. The site marks the group's move into online retailing.
