Xansa's Enterprise Applications Solutions practice is organised into 5 sub-practices, as depicted below:
Overview and capability
Business intelligence - BI is the use of techniques, processes, data and technology to deliver targeted information to the right people at the right time. Providing only the relevant information to individuals, empowering them to perform their own analysis, speeds up organisational decision-making. BI leads to a step-change in how data is handled, and the value that can be derived from it. Our consultants have broad and deep BI experience in the following areas:
Portals - Increasing complexity in technology and processes has led to organisations turning to portal technologies to provide a cost-effective way to derive improved value from their investments. Our Portal competence helps clients make the most of offerings from SAP and Oracle amongst others.
Enterprise integration - Xansa has many years of experience in assisting clients with integration strategy determination, technology selection, implementation, roll-out and support of corporate integration backbones. We leverage our relationships with leading technology vendors (including SAP, Oracle, IBM, Sun, and Cape Clear) to enable the most appropriate solution, whatever the requirement.
We provide a true end-to-end integration service focused on architectures that include best of breed ERP and CRM applications and the principles of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Our approach is underpinned by our flexible integrated delivery model, expertise in project and programme management, business and technology consultancy and services focused on establishing and managing IT infrastructure.

Data and information architecture - We define architectures, and develop and implement strategies around governance, ownership, modelling, transformation, and storage needs. This enables our clients to develop a holistic, structured approach to treating data as an asset across the organisation.
Enterprise data management - Our services include co-ordination, design and development of the tools required to execute the controlled movement of large volumes of data between systems in support of business requirement. The aim is to promote the use of leading packaged Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) tools including Microsoft, Informatica, Ab Initio, IBM Information Integration Suite and SAP and Oracle Data Migration products. Our aim is to ensure robust and efficient data migration and integration and to ensure re-use and best practice, including data discovery, profiling and auditing and master data management. Support is also available for data load cycles and cutover activities.
The D&I advantage
We confer competitive advantage on our clients by developing and implementing clear and effective data management and enterprise integration strategies with them. This enables them to:

Major utility - We introduced IBM's MQSeries into their environment, initially in the evaluation of messaging middleware products. From this investigation MQSeries was selected by the client as the strategic product of choice for asynchronous messaging between business applications. We then integrated the product into the environment, providing architecture guidance, development skills, and support of the product.
